The company

What EastMallBuy is, in the words of its own pages

EastMallBuy is a Chinese shopping agent: you give it a link to something on a Chinese marketplace, it buys the item, receives it at its warehouse, inspects it, stores it, and ships it on to you when you tell it to.

The operator named in the footer and on the contact page is Eastmall (HK) Technology Co., Limited, registration number 75826287, at an address in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. The about page describes procurement, warehousing, quality sampling, consolidation, customs clearance and export declaration as the service, and the inspection policy puts the warehouse in Yiwu.

The site runs in five languages, has apps on both mobile stores, and takes PayPal, card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay and several local methods.

What an agent is actually for

The help centre defines buying on behalf of others as finding somebody to purchase the product you need, usually because you cannot buy it abroad or because it is cheaper in China. That is accurate but it undersells the mechanics.

Three jobs move across to the agent. Paying, because most Chinese marketplaces expect a domestic payment method. Receiving, because sellers ship domestically. Combining, because five sellers otherwise means five international parcels.

One job never moves. Choosing what to buy stays with you, and no inspection policy changes that. It is why this guide spends most of its length on the choosing rather than on the shipping.

The honest version

Why EastMallBuy, where it is ordinary, and when to use somebody else

Three panels. The first one applies to every agent in this market, and any guide that pretends otherwise is selling something.

The same as everyone

Most of what an agent does is table stakes

Every agent in this market buys from the same marketplaces, warehouses in the same handful of cities, ships on the same courier lines, and offers consolidation and photographs. Comparing them on that list produces a tie. The differences that matter are in the published detail: what the inspection covers, how long storage runs, what the cover pays.

Genuinely different here

The published detail is unusually specific

Its published inspection exclusions and DIY order fields make it possible to check what the service is offering. Historical QC examples can help assess visible details, provided you match the same listing and variant. Reconfirm seller-return and shipping terms for the actual order.

Choose somebody else when

Three situations where it is the wrong fit

If you need somebody to verify that an item is authentic, no agent does that, and this one says so in writing. If your parcel is mostly electronics, the exclusions cover almost everything you care about. And if you want a human on chat at three in the morning, the service hours here are contested across three of the operator own pages, so assume the narrowest.

What we cannot tell you

Price comparisons, and whether it is the cheapest

Freight is quoted per line, per weight, per volume and per destination, and it moves. Any guide that tells you one agent is always cheaper is guessing. Run your own parcel through the estimate page and compare that with a real quote elsewhere. The estimate page

From a link to a parcel, in the order it happens

Seven steps. The account is needed from step two onwards.

  1. Collect the links

Browse the catalogue by category, keep the links to the items you want. This is the only step that works without signing in.

  2. Open an account

Username, email, password, and an optional invite field. The account is also where your parcel QC photos will appear later.

  3. Submit the item

Paste the link. If the link cannot be read automatically, the manual form takes title, picture, price, domestic freight, store name, quantity and a comment field by hand.

  4. Pay for the goods and the domestic leg

The order status moves from under process to purchased. The published expectation is that purchasing happens within about twenty four hours.

  5. Wait for the warehouse

Seller sent means it is on its way; the help centre quotes two to five days to reach the warehouse. Stored means it has arrived and been inspected, and that is when QC photos appear.

  6. Submit the parcel and choose a line

Pick what goes in the box, choose a shipping line, decide on the declaration and on cover. Not reviewed means the warehouse has up to twenty four hours to check and pack it.

    What changes the price

  7. Pay the international freight and track it

The final shipping charge is calculated on the packed parcel, which is why volume matters so much. Tracking updates can lag until the parcel lands in the destination country and gets scanned.

Order progress changes what support can do

Before purchase, ask whether the buying request can be stopped. After purchase, cancellation may require the seller’s agreement. If the seller has dispatched, a return can involve receiving the item first and sending it back. Once a parcel is being prepared, ask support which changes are still possible before authorising the next stage.

Track three separate events: your request, the seller or agent’s decision, and the money reaching the balance or payment method. A historic processing estimate is not a refund deadline for every order.

The form for a link that nothing can read

Not every marketplace link parses. EastMallBuy has a manual order form for that case, reachable from the DIY button on the home page, and it asks for the product link, title, picture, price, freight to the warehouse, store name, quantity and a comment.

The comment field is the useful part. Anything you agreed with the seller, or any option the listing cannot express, goes there in writing before the purchase happens rather than in a message afterwards.

The same form carries the operator disclaimer: the products are from third party platforms, not sold by EastMallBuy, and you are asked to verify the information yourself and accept the risks around quality and authenticity.

Two ways in, and they are not equivalent

You can have EastMallBuy buy the item, or you can buy it yourself and forward the parcel. The second one is not simply the first one with extra steps.

EastMallBuy buys it for you

  • You pay in your own currency with a method you already have
  • The inspection applies in full, subject to the coverage rules
  • Product insurance is available on the parcel
  • Refund windows are published per order status
  • Problems with the seller are handled by somebody who speaks to them

You buy it and forward the parcel

  • You need a payment method the marketplace accepts
  • The warehouse can refuse to sign for a damaged or non standard parcel
  • Product insurance does not cover forwarded goods
  • Forwarding runs to international destinations only
  • Anything wrong with the item is between you and the seller

Before you sign up, three things worth knowing

None of these is a reason not to, but all three are easier to know now.

Payment is broad, withdrawal has a fee

The methods above are the ones displayed on the site. Getting money back out of your account balance carries a bank handling fee per transaction and is processed within a couple of business days, with the money typically landing inside ten. Withdrawal rules

The storage clock starts without asking

Ninety days from stored status, sixty for a parcel that arrives without a matching order. After that the published rule is destruction without further notice, so consolidating slowly has a deadline. The limits page

Support hours depend on which page you read

The footer says seven days a week and nine hours a day in Beijing time, the help centre says nine in the morning to midnight, and the about page claims round the clock. Plan around the narrowest. Contact routes

Read protection as a set of conditions

Ordinary QC, seller returns and parcel insurance solve different problems. QC concerns visible goods; a seller return depends on the order and applicable terms; parcel protection concerns specified transport events and evidence requirements. Check covered goods, exclusions, the claim deadline, documents and any limit before paying for a service.

If a delivered parcel is damaged or short, document the outer packaging and keep the box, labels and tape. Follow the current carrier and agent instructions promptly; do not assume that a warehouse photograph alone proves a shipping claim.

Compare an agent against your actual order

Ask whether the provider accepts this product, serves your destination, offers the inspection you need, explains all payment and shipping costs, and publishes usable dispute and storage rules. For a sealed electronic item, availability of a specific test matters more than a generic promise of QC. For a bulky coat, packed dimensions and permitted lines matter more than a cheap product listing.

How to choose a trustworthy agent

Test the published terms against your intended purchase. Can you identify the operator and contact channel, see the full cost before authorising a payment, understand storage and return deadlines, and find the permitted shipping options for your country? A clear support reply to a specific question is more useful than a slogan about safety.

For example, a sealed collectible and an ordinary hoodie need different checks. Ask about the seal before requesting an internal photograph; for the hoodie, ask about the actual measurement you need. If a provider cannot supply a necessary service, resolve that before purchase instead of relying on ordinary appearance QC.

Other shopping agents: compare the service you need

CSSBuy, Kakobuy and Oopbuy are other agents used for link-based purchases and international parcels. They have separate fee schedules, storage rules and service conditions. Compare the same seller item, quantity, destination and proposed packing at the same time. Check which costs are included and which are paid later; a zero purchase-service charge alone does not identify the lowest complete cost.

This is a checklist for choosing between services, not a ranking. A route or inspection option available on one order may be unavailable for another product or destination.
