EastMallBuy SpreadsheetIndependent guide to judging a find

How to use this page

Categories, grouped by how far the check goes

Most category pages sort by what things are. This one sorts by what happens to them at the warehouse, because that is what changes your homework.

Clothing, shoes, bags and suitcases are the four groups the inspection policy names as unwrapped and compared with the listing. Everything else is compared from the outside, and anything sealed or carrying sealing strips stays shut regardless of what it is.

Each group below gives you the coverage, the thing worth settling before you order, and links straight into the matching category pages on the catalogue.

Unwrapped and compared: clothing, shoes, bags

These are the four kinds of goods the policy names as opened, so long as the packaging is ordinary and carries no sealing strips. Model, style and size get compared against the listing they came from.

Settle first, clothing: Chest, shoulder and length in centimetres, measured flat. Size labels from different sellers are not comparable, and size measurement error is excluded from the inspection.

Settle first, shoes: Insole length in centimetres for your size, and a decision about whether the box travels with the parcel. A boxed pair is priced on volume.

Settle first, bags: Outside dimensions, and a written answer on which straps, dust bag and hardware are included. Bags are where included extras go missing most often.

All eight groups on one screen

The coverage column comes from the same rule set the check on the judging page reads, so the two cannot drift apart.

Coverage from the EastMallBuy Inspection Policy, read 4 August 2026. Run the coverage check on a specific item

Appearance only: worn accessories, home and lifestyle

Not garments, bags, suitcases or shoes, so the wrapping stays on and the check is what can be seen from the outside.

Settle first, accessories: Materials and dimensions. Nothing gets worn, wound, tested or measured for fit, so a photograph is the whole of the record you will have.

Settle first, home and lifestyle: Size and weight, and whether it contains magnets, batteries or liquid. Volume decides the freight on this group more often than weight does.

Sensitive goods are a shipping question, not a taste question

The estimate page asks for a type of goods before it will quote anything, and five of its six classes are sensitive: brand goods, electric or magnetic, liquid or powder or paste, flammable or explosive, and pure batteries. The sixth is ordinary daily use goods.

The class decides which lines will carry the parcel, what it costs, and sometimes whether it can be insured at all. Perfume and anything with a battery are the two that surprise people, and both are common finds.

How the estimate is put together

The estimate form. Type of goods sits between weight and dimensions, and it is not optional.

Sealed, functional or liquid: the ones with extra exclusions

Electronics carry three additional exclusions of their own: authenticity, function and quality. Liquids and pastes are a shipping class before they are anything else. Sealed goods stay sealed.

Settle first, electronics: Plug standard, voltage, battery type, and what the seller promises if it arrives dead. The policy excludes authenticity, function and quality for this whole group.

Settle first, liquids: Whether the line you want will carry it at all. The estimate page has separate classes for liquid, powder and paste, and some lines refuse them outright.

Settle first, sealed goods: Which version or series it is, in writing. Once it is sealed, the outside of the box is the only thing anybody compares.

What to do with a category page once it is open

Four steps, in the order that wastes the least time.

  1. Scroll for shape, not for colour

Card photographs are seller photographs. Use them to find the silhouette and the detailing you want, and treat every colour as unconfirmed until you see it in daylight.

  2. Open the item and read what the seller actually wrote

A seller who publishes flat measurements is telling you something about how carefully they operate. A seller who gives you a weight range instead of measurements is telling you something too.

  3. Run the coverage check for that kind of item

It turns the category into three specific questions, and it tells you whether the parcel is going to be opened at all.

  4. Keep the link, not the screenshot

The link is what the order form wants. A screenshot of a card is not something anybody can buy from.

Categories this guide will not send you to

The prohibited goods list runs to twelve classes, and several of them look like ordinary shopping until you read it. Knives of any kind, including kitchen knives, scissors and garden tools. Toy guns as well as real ones. Electronic cigarettes and their liquids. Anything flammable, corrosive or under pressure. Adult products.

The twelfth class is the one worth reading twice: goods that do not possess intellectual property rights. EastMallBuy also publishes a separate anti-counterfeiting policy saying non authentic goods are prohibited outright, and that it can decline an order and suspend an account. Whatever you have read elsewhere about what agents carry, this is what this one publishes, and it is the agent that enforces it.
